AutoResponder

I'm new to using AutoResponses and Lead Capture, can you walk through how it works?

Sure, it goes like this:
The potential subscriber enters thier info into your lead capture form. They are then sent a validation email and you get sent a notification that someone filled out your lead capture form (you can turn these notifications on or off).

Then when the person who filled out your form clicks the validation link in that validation email, they will show up in your mailing list management page, and they will be on the schedule to get your AutoResponders.

What schedule to the AutoResponders go out on?

Whatever schedule you set, with a maximum of one being sent per day.

Can I import my own leads into the AutoResponder?

Yep! Those contacts are then started in the double opt-in process the same as if they would have signed up directly on your website.

What is a double opt-in message?

Double opt in is a system that has been approved by the CAN-SPAM act to prevent spam.

What happens is the customer fills out a form on a website (the single opt-in) and then the customer gets a confirmation email that makes him click a link to activate his subscription (the double opt-in).

in this way, we make the customer take 2 actions to sign up, and that confirms that this customer really wants to sign up and won't be getting spammed.

Can I edit the double opt-in message?

You can add a personalized message to the double opt-in that appears directly above the link that they need to click to validate the subscription.

Your email signature, that you can easily edit at any time, is also attached to all the AutoResponse emails, including the double opt-in message.

Are the AutoResponses personalized?

If you want them to be, they can be. You have the option to insert the subscriber's name into the subject line or message of your email.

Can you tell me what autoresponder program is used and have you tested yours with different ISP's to see if it gets around filtering?

We built our own autoresponder program and tested it with major email providers to make sure that email gets through filters.
